Peter Van Roste is the General Manager of CENTR, the European country code top-level domain association. Peter oversees all of CENTR’s activities and liaises with governments, institutions and other organisations in the internet ecosystem. Before joining CENTR, Peter was director of European government relations for eBay, in which capacity he opened their government relations office in Brussels and worked in particular on regulatory issues that affected SMEs and individuals trading on the eBay platform. A lawyer with a LL.M. in computer and telecommunications law, Peter started his career at internet service provider UUNET, served as president of ISPA Belgium and EuroISPA and co-founded DNS Belgium, the non-profit entity that manages the .be ccTLD.
