Luiz Eduardo is an Undergraduate Law student at the Federal University of ParanĂ¡ (UFPR). As an Internet Society 2021 IGF Youth Ambassador, he is currently developing with fellows an introductory guide for regulating Internet Intermediaries. On 2021, Luiz Eduardo was awarded a scholarship by the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) for his Research Assistant position to develop the project entitled “Systems and Models of Comparative Criminal Law”. He is currently a researcher of the Group of Studies on Copyright and Industrial Law of the Federal university of ParanĂ¡ (GEDAI/UFPR), and focuses his studies on Internet Intermediary Liability and Cybersecurity.

As a designated committee of experts prepares to draft a new treaty to combat the use of information and communications technologies in cybercrime at the UN in January 2022, it is paramount that other stakeholders oversee these discussions to avoid violating human rights on the Internet.
