Nathan Meurrens is the Chief Information and Technology Officer at EURid, the registry operator for the .eu country code top-level domain. He is responsible for the strategic development and operations of registry services, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software delivery, with emphasis on digital sovereignty, regulatory compliance (including NIS2), and the resilience of critical internet infrastructure.
Before joining EURid, Nathan was Manager for Digital Architecture at NTT DATA in Belgium, where he led digital transformations across both the private and public sectors. He also founded and served as CTO of eShango in Senegal, a software engineering company providing IT services to microfinance institutions across West and Central Africa.
Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Director of Cassiopea, a Brussels-based organization established in the early 2000s to promote a free and open internet and support the digital empowerment of civil society actors and public-interest organisations.
His interests lie at the intersection of internet governance, public service infrastructure, and the evolving landscape of the Internet ecosystem, with a particular focus on how digital infrastructure serves the common good.
