Tom Galvin is based in Washington, DC and has been active in Internet security and safety issues for over a decade. As Executive Director of Digital Citizens, Tom is focused on bringing a voice to consumers, including those who have been victimized online. By putting a face on the victims of online crime, Digital Citizens willl serve our fellow citizens and issue a wake-up call to policymakers and Internet companies that they must do more to protect us.

Tom served as Vice President of Government Relations and Communications at VeriSign, where he was responsible for driving strategy with policy makers regarding homeland security, Internet security and telecommunications policy. Prior to VeriSign, Tom created a Washington, DC communications office for Cisco Systems just as the company launched a nationwide branding campaign. Tom also spent over a decade as a political journalist.
