Swapneel Sheth is Senior Director of Research Engineering in the Chief Technology Office at Verisign, where he leads CTO Labs and oversees research and development. Since joining in 2014, he has guided efforts in emerging technologies, from DNS measurement studies to prototype development. A contributor to IETF drafts and peer-reviewed publications, he actively engages with ICANN and the W3C. His current focus lies in future-proofing DNS security via post-quantum cryptography, enabling crypto-agility, and fostering responsible DNS integration.
Mr Sheth holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Alabama.
To prepare DNS security for a post-quantum future, Verisign and partners are testing new cryptographic strategies that balance security, performance, and feasibility, especially through the novel Merkle Tree Ladder mode for managing large signatures. more
