The building and construction industry is set for the biggest digital evolution in its history with the global launch of the .build Top-Level Domain over the weekend.

.build joined the likes of .com, .net and .org live on the Internet when web infrastructure specialists ARI Registry Services facilitated the delegation of the new namespace yesterday.

The .build Top-Level Domain is designed specifically for the online needs of the building industry and beyond. From toys to towers, .build will be the Internet hub for builders of every kind.

Jeremy Ebbels, General Manager—Registry Services—Global Division at ARI Registry Services, congratulated .build on the achievement.

“The launch of the .build Top-Level Domain will be a game-changer for contractors, designers and engineers seeking to carve out a niche online presence,” Mr Ebbels said.

“We know the building and construction industry has enormous potential online and is currently underrepresented in the digital sphere.
