Computerworld Names Afilias’ Ram Mohan a Premier 100 Technology Leader

Ram Mohan named a Premier 100 Technology LeaderIDG’s Computerworld announces Ram Mohan, Afilias’ executive vice president and chief technology officer (CircleID, LinkedIn), as a 2016 Premier 100 Technology Leaders honoree. This year’s Premier 100 spotlights 100 leaders of companies for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges. The honorees will be receiving awards during the AGENDA16 conference March 21 – 23, 2016 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, Amelia Island, Florida.

“The Premier 100 awards program showcases the strategic thinking of an elite group of IT leaders who are using technology to digitally transform their organizations,” said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld.

“These dedicated executives are creating nimble IT organizations to respond to today’s business needs quickly, and to integrate the influx of technologies such as cloud computing, the Internet of Things, social media, mobile, and wearables. They are actively recruiting talented IT pros for their departments and grooming them to take on new roles. They’re also constantly adjusting their risk management strategies to align with the evolving security landscape,” continued Finnie.

With over 25 years’ experience in technology, leadership and entrepreneurship within both public and private companies, Mohan has made major contributions to Internet security and stability. In addition to his responsibilities as CTO of Afilias, Mohan has served on the board of directors of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)since November 2008. His work has resulted in the creation of a globally available registry system that scales to support thousands of new top level domains while increasing flexibility, functionality and security.

The Premier 100 awards ceremony will be one of the highlights of the AGENDA16 Conference held March 21 – 23, 2016, at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort, Amelia Island, Florida. The Conference, to be attended by more than 300 influential business and senior IT executives, will focus on building the digital business.
