The i2Coalition has announced the results of its 2019 elections for the Board of Directors and Board leadership roles.
As previously planned, current i2Coalition Chair Elect, Cheval Capital President Frank Stiff, will replace outgoing Board Chair Michele Neylon and serve as i2Coalition’s Board Chair for 2019.
In addition Melinda Clem, Vice President of Strategy for Afilias, has been elected as Chair Elect for 2019; she will work alongside Mr. Stiff in 2019 and take over as i2Coalition Board Chair in 2020.
“The i2Coalition is a vital member of the Internet community,” says Melinda Clem. “I am excited to start a second term on the Board and for the opportunity to lead the coalition in 2020. Facing both opportunities and threats, the Internet infrastructure sector benefits from the technical and policy collaboration of i2C members and our unified voice.”
Jay Sudowski, Handy Networks CEO and Founder, as well as an i2Coalition Board Member, will be assuming the role of Treasurer Elect. Mr. Sudowski will work with current Treasurer Andy Mentges, CEO of Tech Assets, through 2019 and will assume the position of Board Treasurer in 2020.
Eric Ellis, Vice President of Customer Experience at cPanel, and Mitchell Kilby, Corporate Counsel at Rackspace, were also elected to three-year Board terms, which begin in January 2019.
i2Coalition also re-elected three current Board members to three-year, second terms. These individuals are: Graeme Bunton, Director of Analytics and Policy at Tucows, Jordan Jacobs, Senior Director WW VCSP Program at VEEAM, and incoming Chair-Elect Melinda Clem.
2018 Board Chair Michele Neylon, CEO, and Founder of Blacknight, will remain on the board after his tenure as Board Chair ends on January 1st.
i2Coalition Co-Founder and cPanel General Counsel David Snead will be stepping down from the i2Coalition Board after seven years of service at the end of 2018. Mr. Snead will continue in his position as i2Coalition Policy Working Group chair.
