dotStrategy, Co. the operator of the new Top Level Domain .BUZZ, announced today it has selected Neustar’s Registry Threat Mitigation Services to support and protect the .BUZZ registry. By implementing Neustar’s security solution it provides the ability to detect certain forms of malicious activity within .BUZZ. Neustar services will allow the registry to mitigate phishing, malware distribution, exploit hosting and botnets within the TLD.
dotStrategy President Bill Doshier stated, “Since the early application process for .BUZZ, our partnership with Neustar has proven productive and efficient in all areas. Putting these important protective measures in place using Neustar services is an extension of this partnership. Leveraging these tools and services provides us the comfort of knowing we’re doing everything possible to provide top level .BUZZ registry products and services.”
.BUZZ will also employ Neustar’s Investigative Report Services to identify and investigate malicious activity. Leveraging automated tools and security investigators, Neustar will conduct technical analysis to assess security threats and In accordance with ICANN Specification 11 make such analysis available to ICANN at the request of dotStrategy.

Neustar’s Mitigation Services for .BUZZ commenced on March 18 as the .BUZZ registry moved to sunrise phase and into landrush March 20. The .BUZZ registry will enter general availability on April 15.
