Call For Participation - ICANN 52 DNSSEC Workshop on 11 Feb 2015 In Singapore

If you will be at ICANN 52 in Singapore in February 2015 (or can get there) and work with DNSSEC or the DANE protocol, we are seeking proposals for talks to be featured as part of the 6-hour DNSSEC Workshop on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.

The deadline to submit proposals is Wednesday, December 10, 2015. Initially all you need to do is email a 1- or 2-sentence proposal to [email protected] for the Program Committee to consider. That’s it!

The full Call For Participation is published online and gives many examples of the kinds of talks we’d like to include. At a high level, we’re looking for:

  • Case studies of DNSSEC deployments, either at the signing (registries, registrars, registrants) or at the validation (ex. ISPs, enterprises) side.
  • Examples of innovative new tools or services built on DNSSEC or DANE
  • Research into DNSSEC or DANE deployment, usage, performance or other metrics
  • Demonstrations of new tools or services built on DNSSEC or DANE—or that help automate DNSSEC/DANE deployment
  • Presentations about current issues with regard to DNSSEC/DANE deployment as well as potential solutions

Given that ICANN 52 will be taking place in Singapore, we will also have a regional “DNSSEC Activities in Asia” panel for which we are seeking participants.

These DNSSEC Workshops at ICANN meetings are typically well-attended and are also streamed live online and recorded for later viewing. You can see the agenda and presentations from the recent ICANN 51 DNSSEC Workshop in L.A. for examples of the type of topics that are covered.

As a member of the Program Committee I can say that we have already received a number of excellent proposals but are always looking for more ideas and are always interested in new speakers. If you will be at ICANN 52 in Singapore and have information you would like to share about DNSSEC or DANE with the larger community, please do consider sending in a proposal. As I noted above, all you need to do initially is send a 1 or 2 sentence idea in email to [email protected]

Thanks!

Deadline was *2014* Dan York  –  Dec 11, 2014 7:37 PM

It was just pointed out to me that my article said the deadline was December 10, 2015.  Perhaps obviously the deadline was in fact December 10, 2014, and is now gone by.  :-)
