Domain Research Suite (DRS) Is Now Available as a White-Label Version

The Domain Research Suite (DRS) has been helping organizations search for relevant domain data and monitor web properties and registrants of interest for years now. To continue to support this effort, a white-label version of DRS is now available to vendors so they can help their own roster of clients improve their brand protection strategies, among other use cases.

White-Label DRS is the opportunity to offer the tried-and-tested DRS without the hassle of pooling DNS and WHOIS data from multiple sources and building the necessary infrastructure. Aided by six domain search tools, partners can rely on White-Label DRS to provide access to domain data from WHOIS and DNS records. Three monitoring tools, meanwhile, can alert users about all kinds of changes made to domain records.

What’s Included in White-Label DRS?

The nine solutions that comprise DRS are included in the white-label version. Those capabilities are classified into search and monitoring tools described in more detail below.

Search Tools

Six search tools—Reverse WHOIS Search, WHOIS History Search, WHOIS Search, Reverse DNS Search, Domain Availability Check, and Domains & Subdomains Discovery—help end users find pertinent information about domains and their owners.

  • Reverse WHOIS Search: Enables users to find all the domains whose records contain a particular detail, such as a person’s or company’s name, a phone number, an email address, or any other WHOIS record entry.
  • WHOIS History Search: Lists over 10 years’ worth of WHOIS records associated with a domain of interest.
  • WHOIS Search: Allows users to obtain a domain’s registration and ownership details from its WHOIS record.
  • Reverse DNS Search: Enumerates all the domains that share an IP address, a mail server, or a nameserver that users may be investigating.
  • Domain Availability Check: Checks if a domain of interest is available for registration or purchase.
  • Domains & Subdomains Discovery: Lists all the domains and subdomains that contain a specific brand, trademark, copyrighted term, or company name.
Monitoring Tools

DRS also offers subscribers three monitoring tools—Domain Monitor, Registrant Monitor, and Brand Monitor—for their investigation and other business requirements.

  • Domain Monitor: Lets users keep tabs on the domain names they want to investigate, track, or purchase by alerting them to changes made to their WHOIS records (e.g., expiration, etc.).
  • Registrant Monitor: Tracks all the activity of a registrant of interest, including registering or dropping domains, and alerts users about these modifications.
  • Brand Monitor: Helps organizations keep an eye out for domain name activity related to their brand, trademarks, copyrighted terms, and company name, allowing them to catch abusers on the fly.

Why Use White-Label DRS?

White-Label DRS enables brand protection companies and other partners to give their users instant access to WhoisXML API’s domain monitoring and research capabilities under their own label. The product is beneficial for the organizations that want to attach their brand to DRS and offer it as part of their portfolio to their end users.

White-label DRS offers more than a decade’s worth of data, parsing it, and turning it into actionable intelligence. White-label partners can save on costs that they would otherwise have to spend on servers and other hardware to host all the information that WhoisXML API has on hand while benefiting from a reliable technical support team that can help them manage user queries and other issues.

What Are the Use Cases of White-Label DRS?

With the suite’s help, end users can enjoy the benefits provided by our comprehensive WHOIS and DNS databases that include:

  • Getting insights into what the best industry and market players are up to, including clues about emerging trends, mergers and acquisitions (M&As), product launches, and more
  • Obtaining access to 10.1 billion historical WHOIS records and 100+ billion passive DNS data points for their cybersecurity, marketing, and other needs
  • Protecting their networks against domain-related threats, such as typosquatting, phishing, business email compromise (BEC) scams, and invoice fraud
  • Using domain names, IP addresses, DNS record details, or other strings as starting points for their in-depth analyses and investigations
