57 Registrars have already signed up to offer .PW (branded ‘the Professional Web’)—the new, generic TLD backed by the Directi Group.

In just over a month since launch, the .PW Registry announced that they have already signed up more than 50 registrars from across 20 countries.

“We’re off to a great start! So far we have focused on brand management registrars, and have signed-up 90% of our focus list” said Sandeep Ramchandani, Business Head, .PW Registry. “It was encouraging to see Key-Systems, Name.com and United Domains amongst the early adopters. We have some more ‘heavy weights’ signing up shortly, and the quality of the channel that carries .PW will surprise everyone.”

Some prominent names in the registrar list include MarkMonitor, EuroDNS, Com Laude, CSC, Hexonet, IP Mirror, Safenames, DomainMonster, ResellerClub, EPAG, 101Domain, Lexsynergy and RU-Center. A full list of accredited registrars is available here.

“We have a single click, paper-less sign-up process. Our business rules match gTLDs, and we’re running off CentralNic’s EPP backend. We don’t want Registrars to bear any integration costs or development effort to start selling!” added Ramchandani.

The 68 day Sunrise period will start on 3rd December, 2012 and the number of accredited Registrars is expected to grow substantially, as most registrars will participate in the general registration stage. Registrar Accreditation is still open and interested registrars can sign-up at http://registry.pw/registrars.php.
