Watch Live Oct 1 - Dyn’s Techtoberfest: Internet Trends, Security, Net Neutrality and More

On Thursday, Oct 1, 2015, from 9:30am-4:30pm US EDT (UTC-4), Dyn will be holding their “TechToberFest” event in Manchester, NH, and also streaming the video live for anyone interested.
There are a great set of speakers and a solid agenda. As I wrote on the Internet Society blog (”Bandwidth, Beer and Bratwurst—Speaking Security at Dyn’s TechToberFest”) I’ll be part of the security panel from 3-4pm US EDT… and we who are on the panel are excited to participate just for the conversation that we are going to have! It should be fun!

If you are interested in the type of topics that are frequently written about here on CircleID, I’d encourage you to join in on the live stream to catch some of the sessions. There will also be social media updates using the hashtags #TechToberFest and #DynTTF.
Here’s what the current agenda looks like:

li>9:30-10:00 AM: Welcome: Jeremy Hitchcock, CEO, Dyn
  • 10:00-11:00 AM: David Belson, Sr. Director, Industry & Data Intelligence, Akamai join forces with Doug Madory, Director of Internet Analysis from Dyn to discuss the latest Internet trends
  • 11:00-11:15 AM: How You Can Build a Successful Tech Company Anywhere: Steve Case, AOL co-founder and Revolution CEO
  • 11:30 AM-12:30 PM: Net Neutrality and What It Means to You: Andrew Sullivan, Director of Architecture, Dyn & Tim Fernholz, Reporter, Quartz
  • 2:00-3:00 PM: Cloud Security: Oxymoron or Paradigm Shift?: Chris Brenton, Sr Director of Information Systems, Dyn
  • 3:00-4:00 PM: Panel Discussion: Chinese Hack, Sony Breach, Man in the Middle Attacks, how does that happen?
    Panelists:

    • Kathleen Moriarty, IETF Security Area Director & Global Lead Security Architect, EMC
    • Professor Sean Smith, Research Director of Dartmouth College’s Institute for Security, Technology, and Society

  • 4:00-4:30 PM: Event Wrap Up and Q&A: Kyle York, CMO, Dyn

It should be a great event and I’m looking forward to the discussions with people there. If you are going to be there in Manchester, please do say hello!
