.PW Announces the Launch of Its Sunrise Phase

.PW Registry (‘the Professional Web’) opens up today with a 68-day long sunrise program. The sunrise offers some unique features aimed at reducing overhead for brand-owners. Most known brand management Registrars like MarkMonitor, IP Mirror, ComLaude, CSC, Safenames and 101Domain will be accepting .PW sunrise registrations starting today.

“The .PW Sunrise will allow brands to apply under one application and protect all possible variations. Domain name strings that represent a common misspelling, an abbreviation or include the addition of keywords such as a prefix or suffix of a validated trademark can also be submitted. Features like pre-validation, modification post submission at zero-cost and more, will reduce the common concerns faced by brand-owners during past sunrise events.”- explained .PW Business Head, Sandeep Ramchandani. “We’re incredibly excited to be working on the imminent launch of the .PW domain extension. We’re supporting it from the get go on our wholesale platform, Domainbox.com, and having built a business on launching new domains we will be looking to succeed with our customers’ .PW pre-orders as we have with so many others” said Pete Osmond, Account Director at Mesh Digital.

TM.Biz, which integrated the Trademark Fact Check service to enable the validation of trademarks for new gTLDs, is the trademark validation agent for the .PW Registry. Trademark Fact Check debuted for the .xxx Sunrise, where it pre-validated thousands of trademarks by searching more than 65 online trademark databases and applying the validation criteria defined by the .xxx registry.

70 registrars have completed the .PW accreditation process and the number is expected to increase closer to Landrush and General Availability. The Registrar Accreditation is still open and interested registrars can sign-up at http://registry.pw/registrars.
